About Me

"For the last three years I have taken portrait photographs at Glastonbury Festival. I am doing a fine art degree at The University of Plymouth and this was a project I had given myself. The idea was to do an outside studio set up so that the wonderful outfits and characters of the festival go-ers could clearly be seen. I am fascinated my the creative invention of outfits worn at Glastonbury, I think they reflect our exposure to global historical culture. The sheer mixture of references in the costumes is amazing. If, as Shakespeare said, clothes maketh the man what are we making of ourselves? Is this dress up time for adults or an effort to identify with myths and legends current in our culture.

I suppose it was obvious that people would want copies of the photographs and I have lots of e-mail addresses in my little black book. This is my way overdue answer. If you were one of my butterflies you can find yourself pinned to the paper here. If you would like a copy of your gorgeousness you can get one.

I am also a painter and have made paintings out of some of my captured characters.

If you are going to the festival this year and are going to be wearing something interesting come and see me in the Theatre Field at the top outside the Art Café. "
